Rogue / Mage / Warlock / Priest / Druid
RMP's philosophy scaled to five: overwhelming CC scripts with a Warlock rot layer and a second healer who cannot be locked down. When the script lands, three enemies are controlled and one is dead.
Specs
- Subtlety Rogue Melee DPS
- Frost Mage Caster DPS
- Affliction Warlock Caster DPS
- Discipline Priest Healer
- Restoration Druid Healer
Game plan
Open from stealth with Sap on a healer, Polymorph and Fear on the others, and an execute stun on the kill target. The Druid free-heals from range while the Priest dispels the script clean. Between windows, rot and Mana Burn bank advantage.
Why it works: synergy
- Sap, Polymorph, Fear, Blind and Psychic Scream can control four enemies during an opener.
- The Druid healer is immune to the Polymorph mirror and covers the Priest's fragility.
- Warlock DoT discipline flexes: clean targets for CC, rotted targets for pressure.
- Vanish and Invisibility resets remain live even in the 5v5 chaos.
Counters
Tremor and triple-healer coverage blunt the script, and cleave punishes the fragile caster core.
Equal dispel coverage plus Mortal Strike pressure beats a comp that needs its script to finish games.
Dangers: how this comp loses
- Five-way CC assignments are unforgiving; one DoT on a Polymorph target wastes a full team turn.
- The caster core folds quickly to synchronized melee if the opener whiffs.
- Fear Ward, Tremor and dispels on coordinated teams can strip the entire script.
What Forever changes
- Gnome Priest, Orc Mage and Troll Warlock (all confirmed combos) let the caster core pick racials built for control comps.
- More active racials in Forever means more script interrupts to plan around: this comp's skill ceiling rises the most.
