Warrior / Ret Paladin
All-in double melee. Terrifying opener damage with bubble and off-heal insurance, but no healer, minimal CC, and nothing to say to a team that survives the first fifteen seconds.
Specs
- Arms Warrior Melee DPS
- Retribution Paladin Melee DPS
Game plan
Charge and Hammer of Justice the same target, burn every cooldown immediately, and win before the enemy healer stabilizes. Off-heals under Divine Shield buy exactly one second chance.
Why it works: synergy
- Hammer of Justice into Warrior burst is a genuine one-shot window at full cooldowns.
- Blessing of Freedom keeps both melee connected through snares.
- Divine Shield off-healing gives a double-DPS comp a rare mid-fight recovery tool.
- Two Mortal-style pressure sources overwhelm unprepared healers instantly.
Counters
Two kiting specialists against two melee with one gap closer each: the fight never happens.
Fears, DoTs and totem sustain trivially outlast one burst window.
Dangers: how this comp loses
- If the opener fails, there is no plan B.
- Both members are fear-vulnerable and kite-vulnerable, the two most common defensive tools.
- Every A-tier and above comp beats this on paper; it lives on surprise and cooldown discipline.
What Forever changes
- Undead Paladin (confirmed new combo) at least patches the fear weakness on one member.
- Merged hit and crit makes the all-in window slightly more consistent, which is this comp's entire identity.
