Mage / Warlock / Druid
Full caster control with a mobile healer. MLD layers Polymorph, Fear and roots so that at any moment two enemies are not playing, then rot and Frostbolt pressure finish whoever is left alone.
Specs
- Frost Mage Caster DPS
- Affliction Warlock Caster DPS
- Restoration Druid Healer
Game plan
Assign Polymorph to one target and Fear to another, keeping two enemies controlled while damage stacks on the third. The Druid plays far from the fight, kiting melee and cross-healing. Careful DoT discipline matters: never DoT the Polymorph target.
Why it works: synergy
- Polymorph and Fear on separate targets is the strongest sustained multi-CC in 3v3.
- Frost roots protect the Warlock's cast windows; fears protect the Mage's.
- All three members kite melee natively; pure cleave comps struggle to touch anyone.
- Innervate flexes to either caster, sustaining the control game indefinitely.
Counters
Dispels strip roots and fears while the script kills the Warlock through Soul Link cooldowns.
Cleanse plus ranged pressure punishes MLD's need for long cast windows.
Dangers: how this comp loses
- CC discipline is everything: one stray DoT on a Polymorph target collapses the whole turn.
- Low burst means games go long, and long games invite mistakes on three CC assignments.
- Dispel-heavy teams degrade every layer of the control game at once.
What Forever changes
- Orc Mage and Troll Warlock (confirmed combos) refresh the racial options for both caster slots.
- Bonus healing to spell damage adds real chip damage from the Druid in long control games.
