Rogue / Mage / Priest
The most famous comp in arena history. RM's full control kit plus a dispelling, Mana Burning healer. Every fight is a scripted opener: if the script lands, the game ends in the first stun.
Specs
- Subtlety Rogue Melee DPS
- Frost Mage Caster DPS
- Discipline Priest Healer
Game plan
Sap or Blind the enemy healer, Polymorph the off-DPS, and pour every cooldown into the kill target under Kidney Shot. The Priest dispels answers, screams off peel, and Mana Burns during downtime. Resets via Vanish and Invisibility until a script lands clean.
Why it works: synergy
- Three CC schools (physical, arcane, shadow) touch different diminishing-return categories for near-endless chains.
- Priest dispels protect the setup: Counterspell blankets, nova roots and enemy trinket buffs all get answered.
- Mana Burn between swaps means even failed openers bank long-game advantage.
- Vanish, Invisibility and Fade give the comp the best disengage toolkit in 3v3.
Counters
DoT spread breaks every CC chain and Tremor blunts Psychic Scream peel.
The Druid ignores Polymorph and Sap while the Warrior punishes the Priest all game.
Dangers: how this comp loses
- DoT classes invalidate Sap, Polymorph and Blind: every Warlock team is an uphill fight.
- The Priest is the comp's own weak point; trained Priests spend the game screaming and running.
- Requires the most coordination of any comp; a half-second-late Counterspell unravels the whole script.
What Forever changes
- Gnome Priest and Orc Mage (both confirmed new combos) offer racial kits tuned for exactly this comp's needs.
- More active racials across the board means more trinket-like breaks to script around, raising the skill ceiling further.
