Warrior / Hunter / Paladin

B tier3v3speculativePHW cleave

Physical cleave from two ranges at once. Viper Sting taxes the enemy healer while Mortal Strike taxes their kill target, and Cleanse keeps both damage dealers free. Honest, straightforward, hard to peel.

Speculative: pre-beta theorycraft that depends on tuning or rules Blizzard has not confirmed. Tiers revised weekly from community theorycraft; see the changelog below.

Specs

  • Arms Warrior Melee DPS
  • Marksmanship Hunter Ranged DPS
  • Holy Paladin Healer

Game plan

The Warrior trains the softest target, the Hunter keeps Viper Sting rolling on the healer and adds burst to swaps, and the Paladin Cleanses the team clean. Scatter Shot into Hammer of Justice is the kill window; take it every time it is up.

Why it works: synergy

  • Mortal Strike plus Viper Sting attacks health and mana simultaneously every fight.
  • Cleanse and Freedom keep two physical damage dealers permanently in the game.
  • Scatter Shot, Intimidation and Hammer of Justice chain into surprisingly deep CC windows.
  • Aura and totem-free simplicity: the comp has no fragile setup pieces to hunt.

Counters

Sap and Polymorph exploit the comp's single dispeller, and the Hunter dies in one script.

Rot damage ignores Cleanse economy eventually and fears rotate through three fear-vulnerable members.

Dangers: how this comp loses

  • One dispeller against dedicated CC comps means someone is always sitting in control.
  • The Hunter dead zone is a standing invitation for enemy melee.
  • Without a true lockdown chain the comp relies on damage windows that good teams simply pre-heal.

What Forever changes

  • Human Hunter and Undead Paladin (confirmed combos) both open new racial lines for this comp.
  • Merged hit and crit boosts both physical damage dealers' consistency at early gear levels.
